| Our
current focus is tailoring our designs to suit small projects through
to medium and large projects. |

PROJECT: 141-151 Alison Road, Randwick
(August 2006) |
|
| PROJECT:
33-37 Ethel Street, Seaforth
(June 2006) |
|
| Requiring
a quick turn around without compromising quality, Parkview Constructions
approached us to design and document the extensions to the Randwick
Labour Club. Comprising 1 basement level and 5 storeys above ground,
the site presented many construction constraints which needed to be
overcome. With design and speed of construction taken into account,
we were able to provide a good solution in the client’s timeframe. |
Having
worked well previously with a builder, AJK Design was contacted to
provide structural design services to this project as a design and
construct project. Located on a cliff face overlooking The Spit in
Sydney, this luxurious block of apartments required considerable detail
and technical ingenuity. This combination brought the costs down significantly
and facilitated a fast and smooth construction. |

PROJECT: 177 Fitzgerald Avenue,
Maroubra (April 2006)
|
|
| PROJECT:
2-8 Burleigh Street, Lindfied
(March 2006) |
|
| A
block of 4 town houses with extremely difficult level changes was
designed. Underground parking and proximity to neighbouring buildings
required a retention system with very little tolerance. The transfer
slab on this project, though small in size, was extremely complicated.
The construction was made easier by a large number of sections being
produced by AJK Design to assist in construction of formwork. |
A
large modern complex of units consisting of 3 levels of underground
parking and a complicated floor plan has been designed at this site.
AJK Design was able to successfully co-ordinate with the architects
and other services to obtain an efficient design for the project enabling
efficient very construction. |

PROJECT: 99-101 Yorktown Parade,
Maroubra (January 2006) |
|
| PROJECT:
24 Orwell Street, Potts Point (January
2006) |
|
| A
block of townhouses that required careful consideration due to the
poor bearing capacity available and the existence of an underground
sewer main through the site. The design had to incorporate retention
of neighbouring properties, bearing capacity and co-ordination and
compliance with Sydney Water sewerage requirements. |
A
very tight 6.5m wide site with extremely sensitive buildings on either
side made the structural design for this site very tricky. This 5
storey building needed a design to allow for rapid construction without
restricting site access or damaging neighbouring properties. A solution
was achieved through consultations with the builder and architect
on construction methods. |
